Race Number
You will need to collect your Race Number on the day from the Race Hq, This will be open from 6.00-6.45pm. We will not post anything out.
Your number must be pinned to the front of your running top with 4 safety pins.
Please write your emergency contact details on the back of your Race Number.
Number Swaps
PLEASE DO NOT GIVE YOUR NUMBER TO SOMEBODY ELSE – these causes health and safety risks and can mess results up, stopping somebody winning their well-earned prize!
Refund, Deferral and Transfer Information
From the moment we begin to organise an event, we start to incur costs. Your entry fee is invested into the cost of staging the event - everything from barriers to toilets, from printing to safety pins, from race numbers to marketing. Organising any event requires a considerable amount of forward planning, risk and expense. Therefore we are unable to offer refunds or defer entries over to the following year.
You can insure your entry via Protect Group when you enter the race - If you have selected Refundable Terms on your booking and are unable to attend your booking due to unforeseen circumstances outside of your control you may be entitled to a refund - please see full set of Refundable Terms and Conditions here. To apply for a refund, please find the instructions on how to apply in the booking confirmation email you received after payment. Please note this insurance is not provided by us and we have no control over if participants are eligible for a refund.
Start & Finish
Please note the start is a short walk from the race HQ, allow time to walk up to the start – see website for detailed map.
Course
Detailed route map is available on website
The race is on shared footpaths, so please be courteous to other users - this is a condition of us using this venue.
THE SECTION OF THE ROUTE THAT GOES THROUGH THE RIVERSIDE VALLEY PARK, IS ON A HARD PACKED UNSURFACED ROAD/TRACK – IT IS ROUGH IN SOME PLACES SO PLEASE TAKE CARE, BUT IT IS A LOT BETTER THAN PREVIOUS YEARS.
The route will be marked with signs and temporary spray paint, there will also be marshal in place to direct and cheer you on :-)
The course has been officially measured at 10,000m and each 1km will be signed on the day (these have been measured with a GPS).
Water Station
There will be a water station on the course - please use bins provided. Runners will pass this at approximately half way and also just before 9km.
Toilets
These will be available at THE RACE HQ.
Headphones
We would prefer runners not to wear headphones so they can hear marshals instructions and be aware of other runners and the general public as the event does not have exclusive use of the paths.
Baggage
There will be no formal baggage store – we will have a very limited amount of space to store belongings in our van which be at the start/finish, if you can’t leave in your car or with another person.
Pace Makers
Providing none of our pacers get struck down with injury and illness and we can't replace them, we intend to have the following pacers:
36mins, 38min, 40min, 42min, 45min, 50min, 55min, 60min, 65min and 70mins
Timing & Results
The race will be chip timed from when you cross the start line to when you cross the finish line. Results will be posted on website asap after the race and times will be eligible for Power10 and Run Britain rankings.
