The Panida is the heart of our community and it is up to all of us to keep it beating. You play a vital role in that effort and we wanted to check in as we all prepare for the end of the year. We are pleased to say we were able to break even this fiscal year and kept our theater booked with many great events. Visitors attending performances also brought dollars into our local economy. The marquee lights up and leads the way as a beacon for our downtown and a firm anchor for our community’s economic stability. The roads are open and the shops are full, as is our calendar. Since we are primarily utilized on the weekends, we are limited to 52 revenue producing opportunities a year to pay our operating costs and overhead. Because it takes more than ticket revenue, we are very thankful for the contributions we receive throughout the year that relieve that strain. In addition to operating costs we have several vital projects on our list.
Our Wish List:
- Toilets and plumbing updated
- Aisle lighting repair/replace
- Seat restoration
- Marque restoration lights/glass/electrical
- Industrial vacuum cleaners
- Plaque to acknowledge brick donors
- Updated hearing assistance equipment
- Wheelchair access improvements and bench seat
- Larger projection screen for Little Theatre with rear projection capability for main theater
- New roof for the Little Theatre ... to name of few .
This holiday season we hope you will join us for an event and if you have room on your yearend giving list please consider giving to the Panida Theater to keep this very important heart of the community alive and well. In January we will roll out our new patron loyalty program so please watch for that.
