If books are the proof that humans are capable of working magic, as suggested by Carl Sagan, then nowhere is this truth more beautifully embodied than at The Bookhouse Hotel, the latest addition to Kennett Square, nestled in the heart of the Brandywine Valley.

Co-owner Stephanie Olenik shares how the magic of books, design, history and Kennett’s unique charm came together to create The Bookhouse Hotel, earning the accolade as one of “The Best New Hotels in the US…”

During this month of gratitude, we want to pause and recognize the many facets that make our work as a nonprofit possible.

This week, we say THANK YOU to our awesome and energetic volunteer base! None of our events or programs would be possible without your willing hands and warm smiles.

If you are one of our veteran volunteers or a resident looking to get more involved, here are some very merry opportunities during the holidays:

• Kennett Holiday Light Parade on November 25th: Pre-parade, parade route facilitators and post-parade help needed!
• Kennett Collaborative's Holiday Village Market on December 2nd, 3rd, 9th & 10th: Setup on Dec 1st & 8th, assisting vendors, gate and parking duties (student hours available!)
