DrJoyCoaching Newsletter, vol. 14
This episode of the newsletter is going to be short but sweet!
First, I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving- hopefully you were able to gather with family and friends.
I am leaving for Palm Springs today to compete in a golf tournament of Club Champions from around the US. When I first heard about it, I dismissed it immediately as anything that I would ever do.
Here are the saboteur thoughts that went through my mind:
What? , I can't take off work, I'll be missing several meetings, I'll have to get someone to cover my surgery, and the ever-present imposter-syndrome thought, there's no way I am qualified to compete .
Well, I managed to work through all the reasons why I could make it happen. And you know what, it's a little scary, but I'm looking at the opportunity of a lifetime!
So, as I venture out of my comfort zone, here are some things you can say to yourself when it feels really uncomfortable to move out of yours:
First: What lies are you telling yourself? What is really true?
Second: Do you want to do it, but are just scared? What exactly are you afraid of?
Third: Related to #2: What is the worst thing that could happen?
Fourth: How will you feel if you DON'T do it?
I hope this helps. If there's something you've been wanting to do, or change, and you keep talking yourself out of it, answer the above questions.
And if you've been thinking about making some changes in your life but need some helps, push the button below to set up a free discovery call with me.
Wishing you a peaceful holiday!
Be well, and don't forget to breathe...
