Breathing is the first and last act in life and knowing how to truly express ourselves through breath is becoming eroded as a result of daily stressors. By working with breath somatically we will experience it at a cellular level and explore the impact breathing has on clients' daily function, nervous system, anxiety level and movement potential. See how we can regulate the nervous system through breath and movement to improve health and wellbeing.
The breathwork presented will assist therapists working with clients displaying ineffective breathing patterns. Tracey will offer a variety of breath and movement experientials to incorporate into sessions with clients suffering from anxiety, depression or dysfunctional parasympathetic nervous systems; where it is determined that their presentations are affected by the tone of the nervous system and breath function.
As well as gaining first-hand, embodied experience of these practices, hear about current research and applications, and understand the role of the nervous system in the diagnosis and treatment of anxiety and depression.
