FSU rolls out the red carpet for Oscar-winning alumnus Barry Jenkins

Florida State University rolled out the red carpet for Barry Jenkins’s triumphant return to his alma mater capped off with a sold-out crowd at Ruby Diamond Concert Hall March 31. Tickets to Friday’s screening of Jenkins’ Oscar-winning film “Moonlight” had sold out in less than two hours. Read more | Photo gallery

FSU Day at the Capitol

Florida State University will celebrate its preeminence and all things garnet and gold during the annual FSU Day at the Capitol. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, at the Florida Capitol. Several of the university’s colleges and academic departments will have displays and information tables set up on the plaza level, second and third floor rotundas from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The highlight of the day will be an outdoor pep rally from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the plaza between the old and new Capitols. Torch the Green

Celebrate FSU's role as a center of innovation by joining President Thrasher and more than 1,000 students on Landis Green at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 6, to create a flash mob in the shape of a giant FSU Torch of Innovation!  This human torch will stretch from Landis Hall to Strozier Library.
