I just convinced 2 different CEOs who have in-house development teams to adopt no-code tools. It wasn't easy on paper. But I know how to highlight the value of no-code/low-code platforms to organizations that are coming to the same realization as the rest of the world: developers are in short supply.
As a CTO I fight this fight daily. Just this week I interviewed a developer and offered them $160,000/yr and they walked. It's a developer's market, and unless you're willing to pay the same that all of the top silicon valley companies will (along with equity) you're not even in the game. As remote work continues to become more standard (thanks, COVID-19), companies in secondary markets will have an even harder time competing for talent. Enter the age of no-code/low-code development. The ROI is clear. If you're not a developer, but you know your way around these tools, you can walk in and confidently take positions that weren't within reach just a year ago. This is gonna be fun!
