Dear Roger,
The year 2020 brought innumerable challenges. But as people of hope, we stayed united.
As we continue the “Year of St. Joseph,” as Pope Francis recently proclaimed, that unity as one Global Catholic Climate Movement will help us come together for God and creation like never before in 2021, “for we know things can change.” (LS 13)
New for 2021, GCCM has produced a 12-month calendar that will help us walk together in our ecological conversion journey.
The calendar features key GCCM moments, saints to inspire our journey, and eco-martyrs to remember those who have given their life doing what God asks us all to do: to love and protect creation.
You can access the calendar two ways:
- Click here to download the free PDF calendar for January 2021
- Click here to add the 2021 GCCM calendar to your Google calendar
A new year also represents an opportunity to rethink our lives. As you’re plotting your New Year’s resolutions, you’re encouraged to think about what Pope Francis wrote throughout Laudato Si’: “everything is connected.”
For instance, do you want to exercise more in 2021? Perhaps you can pair that resolution with a habit that helps creation. Instead of driving or taking the bus, you walk or ride your bike more often.
Maybe you want to read more, another popular New Year’s resolution. Add Laudato Si’ to your 2021 reading list and let yourself more fully appreciate Pope Francis’ guide for our future.
So much awaits you and this movement in 2021. Don’t miss any of it: Print the GCCM calendar, or add it to your Google calendar today!
P.S. You and this movement brought so much hope to the world in 2020! Watch this video to get a sense for everything this movement accomplished this year.
New Year’s blessings,
Christina Leaño Associate Director Global Catholic Climate Movement
