A WORD IN DUE SEASON

Dear Friends,
As the days grow darker, the light of Christ shines ever more brightly in a lost and broken world. Can you see it with the eyes of your spirit?
Yes, when things look the bleakest, that is the time they are the brightest for the believer.
If you have been tempted with discouragement, depression, or even despair, turn to Jesus. He is there, ever beside you, and He will never leave you. He is our only Hope. He is our Salvation.
A sure-fire way to come out of discouragement is to count your blessings and to tell others about Jesus. When you give hope, you will receive hope in return.

ON THE HOMEFRONT . . .
My grandchildren are "growing like weeds," as the proverbial saying goes. They have also become quite the active campers as they enjoy their new RV.
Camping was never my thing. I'm the type who considers it a hardship if a hotel has a detached restaurant. :). But, I can truly see the beneficial effects of the camping experience on my grandchildren, and I am delighted for them.
This big guy just celebrated his 10th birthday!

Work-in-Progress (WIP)
I am making good progress on the first book in my Dixie Randolph middle-grade novel series. In Dixie Randolph and the Secret of Seabury Beach, Dixie discovers a buried treasure and faces losing her life in order to protect the townspeople of Seabury Beach.
Please keep me in prayer as I write this story. Your children and grandchildren won't want to miss it. And neither will you! :)
The expected release date for Dixie Randolph and the Secret of Seabury Beach is Christmas of this year. So stay tuned! :)

Breakfast Egg-Sausage Casserole
(From the Kitchen of Dominic Diorio)
|

|
Ingredients:
1/2 dozen eggs
1 lb. pork or turkey sausage
1 small onion, diced
1 cup shredded sharp cheese
1/4 cup milk
1/2 zucchini, diced
1/2 green or red pepper, diced (optional)
Salt & Pepper to taste
Instructions:
__Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
__Spray baking pan with cooking spray.
__Combine eggs, milk, cheese, and salt and pepper in a large bowl and mix well.
__Cook sausage until browned, breaking it into small pieces.
__Drain grease and add sausage to egg mixture.
__Cook vegetables and onion in same skillet as sausage for 2 - 3 minutes and then add to eggs.
__Mix everything well.
__Pour mixture into baking pan.
__Bake for 35 - 50 minutes, or until edges are set and center is barely jiggly.
Leftovers can be stored for 3 - 4 days in the
refrigerator.
Mixture can be made the day before and kept in the baking pan in the refrigerator uncooked.
