PTK Tako/Oko Party (Team Building)

We the members of Phi Theta Kappa, held our first Takoyaki and Okonomiyaki party on January 30, 2019. This event was held for the purpose of team bonding and the understanding of new culture. We made three different dishes, takoyaki, okonomiyaki, and yakisoba. The local students participating in this event were able to learn and experience how to make foreign foods with the help of the Japanese students. We had a great turn out and even got to share some of the food we made with some of the HTIC staff and students. We’d like to thank HTIC faculty/staff members Nathan, Daryl, and David for attending and sharing this experience with us, Tasha for photographing our experience, Nina for always supporting and advising us, and of course Shintaro for not only supporting and advising us, but also providing majority of the materials to make this event possible! --Submitted by LA student, Jett Kuhns
