Issue 55- April 10, 2020

Happy Friday, Friends!

"Welcome back to "The Cre8tive Life!"- your weekly newsletter full of lifestyle tips, smiles, and cool things to check out.

We are now in "Quarantine Life" week 4 (I think?). I am praying that you, your family, friends, and other loved ones are staying safe and healthy!

This past week, for me, has been another week of virtual connections, check-ins, tackling projects, self-care breaks, reflection, and LOTS of prayers for the world.

Additionally, I will be hosting my VERY FIRST (virtual) event next Friday---I hope that you will be able to join! The details can be found at the bottom of the events section of the newsletter.

Random stories, pictures, video highlights, and other life musings can be found on my personal instagram page (@e101) and official brand page (@thecre8tiveartisan) throughout the week (when/if I end up posting anything).

*And, if you have missed any previous newsletters, feel free to check out the archive section on my website: HERE.

Please stay safe and healthy out there 💗.

***Also sending a special shout out to my FABULOUS cousin, and photographer, Donna Collins, for my feature pic this week! And, an extra special shout out for the thoughtful and loving care package she sent me too (I don't think I have ever been so grateful to have toilet paper in the house *smile*).

My weekly (random) compilation of some of my favorite "cre8tive" things that I want to share:

  • FAVORITE WORD: Ebullient( adj): cheerful and full of energy

  • ADVICE: “We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty." - Maya Angelou

  • MOOD MUSIC: I've been listening to some of my favorite inspirational Gospel songs, and randomly discovered a "new" artist (well, he has actually been around a little while- but, he was new discovery for me), Jonathan McReynolds. YouTube suggested I watch THIS VIDEO, and I was immediately hooked, and went down a rabbit hole of wanting to hear more from him. His voice seems to just melt into space and soothe the soul.

  • QUARANTINE RECOMMENDATION: If you're looking for some TV to take your mind off of things, you might find the  totally B.I.Z.A.R.R.E "Abducted In Plain Sight" documentary on Netflix to be a prime contender.

  • COOKERY MAGIC: I stumbled upon these quick, easy, and healthy One Pot Recipe Meals that you may find to be a saving grace for your cooking needs. Let me know if you discover a favorite!

  • LIFESTYLE TIP: If you are in need of face masks, and don't have access to a surplus of disposables, handkerchiefs, or a sewing machine...but, you DO have an extra T-Shirt you may find THIS TUTORIAL super easy and helpful!

  • FEEL GOOD SHARE: Well, as they say, "Necessity is the Mother of invention." And, in the midst of all the madness, and masks shortages, people have had to get pretty creative in protecting themselves these days. THIS is a compilation of some of the more "interesting" masks that people have been using. Hopefully it will give you a little smile, or even a chuckle (hey, it might even give you some ideas -lol)... because we all still need to remember to do that every now and again, right?

Saw this in one of my social feeds,

and thought it was a good share to pass along.

Continued hugs, prayers, love, and thoughts to all at this time.

This week's challenge is to reflect on some of the good discoveries that have come out of your "forced" quarantine life.

I will be hosting my very first Cre8tive Connections event on

I would love to have you join in if you can!

It will not last more than an hour, and should be a great and fun way to uniquely connect in a meaningful and authentic way with others.

*And, don't worry, it will NOT be another "Zoom" engagement-

it will be TOTALLY DIFFERENT, and not even on there!

RSVP Password: CRE8TIVE

Website to RSVP here too: https://cre8tiveconnections.splashthat.com/

For those who haven't filled out the social engagement survey below, I can definitely still use your feedback. So, if you have not done so already, please take  5 minutes to fill out:

Thanks sooooooo much in advance for your time!

***Totally disregard this part of the newsletter if you have already done this.

Lastly, if you happen to have any future topic ideas, or come across any events I should know about, PLEASE feel free to send those along my way. I always LOVE discovering and learning about new things!

Have a great day, and be sure to take time to enjoy your life!

*"The Cre8tive Life" is the weekly "feel good" component of my consultancy, The Cre8tive Artisan, which is where I "make the magic happen" and curate engaging lifestyle events that help connect us humans in deeper ways. Feel free to CHECK OUT MY WEBSITE to see what I do, and let me know if there is ever anything I can do to help you out! As always, if this newsletter is "not your thing", please feel free to unsubscribe (however, I really hope you don't).
