It has been reported that robbers were able to board a tanker whilst anchored off Port-au-Prince. Up to twelve robbers armed with machetes boarded the tanker from both the bow and stern of the vessel. The incident lasted for thirty minutes with the perpetrators threatening crew members before escaping with mobile phones and ropes from the tanker.
