National Mentoring Day recognises and supports the invaluable contribution that mentoring makes to our economy and our society and I thought this would be of great interest to your network.
By taking part you can help recognise the great work that mentors are doing across the UK and together we can raise awareness on the benefits of mentoring and make this a nationwide celebration. Held on the 27th October each year, or the first Monday after if it falls on a weekend, the day encourages events, activities and networking to take place throughout the UK.
The annual day attracts widespread national and regional press and carries many high profile endorsements. If your business, school, college or university has mentors or a mentoring initiative in place then this is a great opportunity to publicise what you do. Help recognise, thank and empower mentors and encourage mentoring. You may decide to launch or create a new mentoring programme for National Mentoring Day and help showcase your organisations commitment to investing in people and supporting education and enterprise.
