Are you a cat or a dog person? After an entire year with one of each mischievous animal, I can heartily say, "Both."
Unique and beautiful in their own right, my cat and dog capture my heart just by being themselves.
Depending on whether there's a mess on the floor from one of them, I'm also drawn more to that messy pet.
But when it comes to which one of them is drawn more to me, the answer is clear: my dog Percy gallops, while my cat Smoakie slinks.
God is our Master, and when He wants to get close to us, do we usually gallop or slink to Him? Are we a "cat person" or a "dog person?"
If I'm being honest, the answer changes for me whether there is a treat involved, or whether there's a mess on the floor.
The Good News is that whatever we are, God can heartily say that He loves both cat persons and dog persons. He made each to be uniquely themselves, even as they grow. He fixes messes alike for them. He loves them equally because they are part of the family.
