Ceramics and alabaster take on a new aesthetic form and concept in the double art installation exhibited in the majestic Palazzo dei Priori in Volterra. The Etruscans here in Volterra, like many ancient populations, have put these noble malleable materials to extensive and varied uses and today the visitor entering this space may well feel themselves surrendering to their beauty, drawn by their primordial energy.
In SEEDS | SEMI the vibrant structure of suspended alabaster-studded threads dialogues with the solemnity of the refined ceramic sculptural group at its core. The camera, capturing the installation's intimate atmosphere, runs fast, pauses and observes, swings without invading, eventually comes to a standstill leaving space only for silence.
