Street and road projects will be the featured topic at this Monday's meeting of the Bennington City Council. The meeting is at 6:30 in the city offices, or the former library space. As always, you are welcome to attend.
We will get a preview of Bennington's One- and Six-Year Plan for street and road improvements. This is a tool for prioritizing roadwork. As the name implies, One-Year projects are high priorities slated for the coming year. Six-Year projects are a bit farther down the road (so to speak).
This Monday is a preview; the official public hearing on the plan will be held at the Feb. 11 City Council meeting. This process and the plan are required by the state in order to get our full allocation of highway funds.
The full agenda is available here. Other topics include:
- An update on the process of selling the old city offices by public auction.
- An update on the process of recruiting and hiring a new police chief.
If you're not on this e-mail list and want to join, subscribe here. I will send a preview of every meeting and a brief recap afterward.
Have a good weekend and enjoy the snow!
