As part of its Tribal Waste Management Webinar Series, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will be hosting an informational webinar to highlight real-world experiences from two Tribal Nations working to improve hazardous waste management infrastructure through creative funding strategies and federal grant programs. The Rincon Band of Luiseno Indians will share how they successfully combined multiple funding sources to bring their transfer station project to life and offer practical advice for other communities tackling hazardous waste infrastructure projects with limited budgets. The Trinidad Rancheria will share their experience implementing an EPA Hazardous Waste Management Grant Program for Tribes highlighting successes, challenges, and valuable tips for other Tribal Nations working to develop their own household hazardous waste collection program.
