Khaby Lame - The Everyman of the Internet The former factory worker from Italy is now one of the fastest-growing creators on TikTok, with his deadpan reactions. His rapid rise is in some ways a rejection of the hyper-produced group of Gen Z creators that have emerged in the past year. Authenticity, consistency and relatability helps creators gain a following.
The Cooperation Economy "Participation in the Cooperation Economy requires only something with which individuals come pre-loaded: differentiation. Understand what you’re uniquely good at, how you want to play the Game, and then join forces with people with shared goals and complementary skills." This is how we're going to work in this new age, and I'm here for the concept of Liquid Super Teams who assemble, disassemble and reassemble to work on impactful problems.
Why People Share: The Psychology Behind “Going Viral” One of the keys to unlocking growth is understanding why people share and the language that gets them to do it. James from NFX breaks it down into 8 motivational clusters - status, identity projection (to show who we are), validation, safety, novelty, being helpful, voyeurism and order (to organize things).
Using waiting rooms to hold people before the start of your event. A basic tip, but so useful to help contain the excitement and energy of the crowd and start off an event well!
Use the free Muzzle app for Mac to silence all your notifications while screen sharing.
Taking a moment to reflect before and after a talk is a technique that will accelerate your growth as a speaker and a human. Be excited to change people’s lives (in any small way) before your talk, and be thankful for the opportunity to do so when it’s done.
