Agency and New Website release schedule

Agency feature release

We are planning to push the new Agency feature to prod on Thursday 8th July after hours. If you have not set them on beta by then you will need to reset your distributors. We are hoping that community defaults will be set for most agencies.

  • Setting Agency and Distributor (Video 2:55)
  • Adding a new Agency (Video 2:08)

New Website Thursday week.

On Thursday 15th of June we are aiming to push the new website layout to Prod. While it is on beta you can try new layouts and colours. Content such as banners and pages are however shared. If you add or remove a page it will reflect on both beta and prod versions.

This video (8:45) shows you how to check your site on beta, and tells your designers where to start.

If you need a graphic designer here's a list that have experience working on Circle sites.

PLANS FOR THE COMING MONTH

Release and tidy

  • New Website
  • Agency addition

Things we are working on that are likely to take longer

  • Further SEO and website performance monitoring

New things we want to make a start on

Beyond the next month

  • Use of docker to dynamically scale the system based on demand.
  • Bootstrap 3 upgrade in the back office starting with customer order picking and returns

How smaller suppliers can integrate with Circle stores.

Last month we talked about APIs and how they can be used to feed real time data between systems. Baker and Taylor is a case example (more are on the way - watch this spot)

This month I want to show you how smaller suppliers who do not have APIs can also participate.

Small suppliers that do not have APIs can use the Circle platform to deliver information like price and availability to stores. The extent to which they use Circle ranges. Following are three case examples that illustrate the range of options suppliers are currently using.
