Project Update

Grant Finder

We are happy to share with our stakeholders and community organisations, our new grant and funding program Grant Finder.

RDAEP plays an ongoing role assisting community and industry to connect with investors and grant funding opportunities.

The Grant Finder includes two grant portals:

  • A Council portal available to unlimited council staff
  • A Community portal for local businesses and community groups.

The aim of the Grant Finder is to increase the flow of grant funding into our region through:

  • Providing councils with a tool to identify grants suitable for operations and projects
  • Identifying grants early to maximise time for grant preparation and writing
  • Raising grant awareness across the community
  • Providing the community with a one-stop shop to identify grants
  • Providing all user groups with administrative tools to better manage grant applications.

Strategic Regional Plan 2023-2026

RDAEP along with the EP Local Government Association and EP Landscape Board have released a draft Strategic Regional Plan 2023-2026 for further consultation. Initial stakeholder consultaton was sought through survey response or attending one of the community workshops over the past two months.

Thank you to those who have participated and provided comment and direction for the future of Eyre Peninsula.

The DRAFT Plan can be viewed here: Strategic Regional Plan 2023-2026

Eyre Peninsula Brand Review

RDAEP are in the process of facilitating a review of the ‘Eyre Peninsula Australia’s Seafood Frontier’ brand.

Following extensive consultation, brand agency Fuller have recommended a new tourism brand positioning for the EP,  as such the project is approved to move to the design phase.

Be sure to save the date for the big reveal. This is an event not to be missed! Due to the number of stakeholders and dignitaries expected at the event, it will be held in Port Lincoln. It is hoped with sufficient notice those from further afield can pool together to travel to be part of this exciting new era for Eyre Peninsula. Anyone involved with marketing activity on the EP is strongly encouraged to attend the full day of marketing workshops on the 30th of March.

Along with the recent development of the Eyre Peninsula Marketing Plan, this is an exciting time for our region, and presents an opportunity to celebrate what makes us unique, and to attract our best visitors with a strengthened brand positioning.
