Natural Resources small grants open on EP - if you have a Natural Resource Management focused project idea you would like to see come to life in the next few months the Eyre Peninsula Natural Resources Management (NRM) Board welcomes applications from community groups, Aboriginal groups, Schools, Local Government and Farming Systems groups for the 2019-20 small grants funding round. Closes 29 November 2019.
Remote Airstrip Funding Program – Round 7 – On 27th September 2019, the Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development, the Hon Michael McCormack MP announced the seventh round of the Remote Airstrip Upgrade Program. The program provides funding to enhance the safety and accessibility of aerodromes in remote and very remote areas of Australia. Safe, operational aerodromes are vital in the delivery of essential goods and services in remote and very remote communities, particularly where road access is unavailable, unreliable or disrupted for extended periods due to seasonal weather conditions. The maximum grant amount is $3 million, however it is expected that most grants will not exceed $1.5 million. There is no minimum. The maximum project period is two years. Applications open on Tuesday 1 October 2019 and will close at 5.00pm AEDT on 12 November 2019. AusIndustry is delivering this program on behalf of the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Cities.
Regional Airports Program - provides regional airports or aerodrome owners/operators with grants of up to $5 million to enhance aviation safety and accessibility. Closes 12 December 2019.
- improve the safety of aircraft, operators and passengers using regional airports or aerodromes
- facilitate improved delivery of essential goods and services such as food supplies, health care and passenger air services
- improve the connectivity of Australia’s regions to domestic and global market opportunities
- meet the operational requirements of aeromedical and other emergency services in the region.
Grants SA – Major Round - a one-off project funding program that provides grants to not-for-profit community organisations to improve community participation, wellbeing and quality of life for people living and working in South Australia. Major Round grants of between $10,001 - $100,000 are available for: Community facility upgrades | One-off programs or services | Vehicles. Closes 19 November 2019.
Grants SA – Minor Round - a one-off project funding program that provides grants to not-for-profit community organisations to improve community participation, wellbeing and quality of life for people living and working in South Australia. The Minor Round grants of between $100 - $10,000 are available for: Community activities | One-off programs or services | Volunteer development. Minor Round 2 opens on 1 December 2019 and closes on 31 January 2020.
Country Health SA Primary Health Networks - does your community group have a plan for a local project or activity to support South Australian regions experiencing drought? Country SA PHN are seeking grant applications for activities promoting well-being in communities affected by drought. Activities can include community events or workshops, lifestyle interventions to improve physical and mental health, or community education on topics such as resilience, stress management, depression and stigma. Closes 21 November 2019.
RAA Regional Road Safety Grants - aims to improve the lives of South Australians in regional communities, as part of our commitment to helping create a safer state. Grants of up to $10,000 are available. Each year, grants are awarded to a range of critical projects designed to improve the safety and wellbeing of local residents and visitors to areas of regional SA. This includes life-saving equipment for country firefighters, funding to help suicide prevention support in drought-affected communities, and security cameras for school grounds. Closes 2 December 2019.
Public Art & Design - supports the commissioning of high quality new works of art and design for public places by practicing professional South Australian artists. Closes 2 December 2019.
Women’s Leadership Development - a pool of scholarships currently available for women to participate in a range of leadership development courses. The initiative is providing women with grants of between $2,000 and $7,000 to enable participation in one of three programs that cover such things as reinforcing resilience and wellbeing, engaging with challenge and conflict, creating future focus, leading authentically and driving performance. Courses include: Advanced Leadership Program | Executive Ready | Leading Edge. Expressions of Interest close on Friday 22 November 2019.
Regional Agricultural Show Development Grants Program - funding will be available to eligible regional show societies for the maintenance and upgrade of existing infrastructure and the building, purchase, rent or construction of new infrastructure related to the running of an agricultural show. Closes 12 December 2019.
Regional Agricultural Show Development Grants - Agricultural shows provide an authentic and accessible showcase of Australian farming. They are at the very heart of regional communities, bring rural and urban communities together, showcase new technology, and promote competition and improvement in agricultural sectors. Shows that collect less than $20,000 in gate receipts from each annual show will be considered to be a small show. Shows that collect $20,000 or more in gate receipts from each annual show will considered a large show. Closes 13 December 2019. The small grant stream will be used for projects seeking up to $124,999 ex GST in grant funding and includes: Category 1 - Small grants for small shows Category 2 - Small grants for large shows The large grant stream will be used for projects seeking between $125,000 and $500,000 ex GST of grant funding and includes: Category 3 - Large grants for small shows Category 4 - Large grants for large shows
Grassroots Football, Cricket and Netball Facility Program - aimed at increasing participation and improving gender equity in Australian Rules Football, Cricket and Netball. To develop core infrastructure that directly impacts participation. Closes 13 November 2019.
Sport and Recreation Development and Inclusion Program (SRDIP) - assists eligible organisations to develop and implement projects that will grow the sport or activity, improve services and/or address barriers to inclusion. Closes 11 December 2019.
Dept of Veteran Affairs Veteran and Community Grants - to maintain and improve the independence and quality of life for members of the veteran community by funding projects that sustain or enhance health and wellbeing. Closes 27 February 2020.
On-Farm Emergency Infrastructure Rebate Scheme - a rebate to drought affected farmers who invest in urgently needed on-farm water infrastructure. Closes 31 March 2021.
Youngcare’s Y Kids Grant - critical in keeping children at home with their families. Y Kids assists children (aged 0 - 17) with high physical care needs, and their families who are living at home and have significant gaps in their NDIS Plans. The program provides one-off grants of between $2,000 and $10,000 for the provision of essential support items that are unable to be funded through other means, such as the NDIS. By providing funding for equipment, home modifications, emergency respite care and travel costs associated with essential medical treatment, Y Kids aims to enhance the standard of living for children with high care needs and their carers. Closes 20 November 2019.
Ageing Well Community Grants - if you're part of an incorporated, non-profit organisation working together with older people, you are invited to apply for Grants for Seniors and Positive Fellowship Grants. Local Governments are invited to apply for Age Friendly SA Grants. Closes 17 January 2020.
