Word For You
REJOICE, FOR THE LORD WILL DO A NEW THING
28 March 2021
As with other promises of God requiring of us to fulfill one or more requirements, one requirement stands clear for us to make way for the fulfillment of God's promise in our lives this month (and beyond); we need to let go of the past; pains, discomfort, disappointment, fear etc.
The main anchor verse for this month, Isaiah 43:19, states "Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert". The preceding verse 18 however states a requirement; "Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old".
This requirement is repeated in the second anchor verse, 2 Cor. 5:17b which states that "old things are passed away, behold, all things are become new". We need to move on from the past, we cannot allow past hurts to pin us down and still expect to enjoy the blessings of the present and future. We must cut the tie with past fears and failures and then be released into the fulfillment of God's promise for us.
I pray we receive the strength and courage to do the needful so that God's promise can come true in our lives in Jesus Mighty name, amen.
