A WORD IN DUE SEASON

Dear Friends,
We are well into the Fall, and what a beautiful season it is! In New Jersey where I live, we are enjoying the vibrant colors of this very special season.
God is the God of variety. Just look at His creation. Everywhere we see different colors, different shapes, different species. Yet, in the mist of variety, there is uniqueness.
For example, while there are many maple trees, each one is different. While there are many dogs, each one is different and special. While there are many people, each one is unique.
What does this say about you? It says that you, too, are a unique masterpiece created by the King of kings. You are one of a kind with a one-of-a-kind purpose. Do you know what that purpose is? If not, I encourage you to find out.

ON THE HOMEFRONT . . .
October is a month of celebrations in our family. We have two birthdays--my daughter's and my granddaughter's-- and my husband's and my anniversary. This year we will be married 52 years, by God's grace.
I thought you might like to see this picture of my husband and me taken right after our wedding ceremony. As our guests threw rice, my husband--ever the jokester--said to me, "Grab as much as you can. It will be our dinner tonight!"

Fried Zucchini Strips
(From the Kitchen of MaryAnn Diorio)
|
|
|
Ingredients:
__2 medium Zucchini, cut lengthwise
__Italian-Flavored Breadcrumbs as needed
__2 Eggs, slightly beaten
__Olive Oil, as needed
Instructions:
__Heat oil in large skilled.
__Dip zucchini slices in slightly beaten eggs
__Dip slices in Italian-flavored breadcrumbs, coating well
__Fry in hot oil until golden brown.
__Drain on paper towels.
__Cool and then serve.
