LIFE’S ROLLERCOASTER
Hello Everyone!!!
Hope you all are doing well and that you’re planning some time for a bit of rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation in the coming summer months. So far, I haven’t made any plans to travel, but we do hope to get away for a few days.
I’ve been pretty busy assisting my best friend these past thirty days or so. On May 14, I helped her prepare and co-host a surprise “sprinkle” for her daughter who is expecting her 3rd
child in August (a boy, after two girls)
Then a few weeks later on May 22, she hosted, and I attended her second granddaughter’s “Unicorn Party” for her 3rd
birthday. Last Friday, June 3, I helped her prepare for her son’s rehearsal dinner (delicious Italian fare), followed the next day by helping set up the reception area with flowers. The wedding was beautiful; the reception absolute perfection. And the best part – two of the nicest people found each other, fell in love, and will live happily ever after.
Sunday (tomorrow, as I’m writing this on Saturday), I am invited to celebrate my bestie’s five-year-old granddaughter’s Encanto-themed party which also happens to fall on her daughter’s birthday. Though I’ve been busy helping my BFF and her family, I can’t imagine how she has juggled all these balls in the air the past few weeks. But that’s what makes her the person she is, and I am so lucky to be a chosen part of her extended family.
On the book front, the book that was entitled, Drew’s Hope, is now in the hands of the proofreader and the company has procured a graphic artist to redesign the cover. So…hopefully once those two components are complete, we’ll be moving right along to (re) publishing what I believe will be entitled, A Baby Changes Everything.
Since I have decided to go with a publisher, I thought I might revamp my logo for my newsletter and webpage. I’d like your input, so as you scroll the books I am promoting for fellow authors below, please click on the design you like the best for my new logo. And if you have any suggestions, please, send them along. I’d love to hear them.
As things begin to unfold more concretely with the publishers, I’ll keep you in the loop. Meantime, my novellas and vellas are still available on Amazon if anyone is interested.
In closing, I’d be remiss not to mention the terrible tragedies besieging our country of late as a result of several mass shootings. My heart goes out to the families of every victim. I know it’s said time and again by many, but I really can’t imagine the immense agony they are experiencing. My prayers continue to be with them all.
As always, and this is more vital now than ever: Be well. Be safe. And most importantly, take care of YOU and YOURS.
Happy Reading!!
