Dear Friends,

Chris & Lisa Cree

Greetings from Scotland! How did December get here already? The nights are long, with only about 8 hours between sunrise and sunset for us here. Most all the trees are bare, and it has been a bit rainy. Fortunately the weather has not been too cold. We are able to enjoy walks and enjoy the crisp autumn air.

We’ve started putting out the Christmas decorations. The extra long nights help us appreciate the wonderful Christmas lights all the more.

Ever Changing Rules

Leaves Up Close

We now in our ninth month of COVID lockdown restrictions and the ever changing rules here in Scotland. They’ve instituted a “five-tier system” of restrictions for Scotland, while England is using a different system with three tiers.

The region we live in still allows us to meet up to one other household at a café or restaurant to a maximum of six people. We are not allowed to visit other people’s homes. In other regions of the country pubs and restaurants are completely shut down. So, it’s constantly changing, and we are just going with the flow.

Boat at Glencaple

We still do not have any students on campus, but we do have our staff coming in for the Saturday college days as we are able to follow the physical distancing rules. Although we have to ask some of our volunteer staff to work from home those days as well as they live in more restricted lockdown areas of the U.K. Each week we look at what is going on and make decisions based on what is being required of us.

Students Progressing Well

With that said the students are doing amazingly well. They so desire to see each other in person but they press into what the Lord has called them too in spite of not being able to meet in person for this season. We are constantly getting reports of how the courses are opening up new revelation to them and watching them grow in their identity in Christ.

Frost on Leaves

We have set-up a social media tool for them to communicate with each other in between the Saturdays we meet. It’s wonderful to see them asking for prayer, sharing what they are learning and praying and encouraging each other. The Body of Christ is alive and well and the Holy Spirit is not constricted by time and space. We are so grateful for this amazing group of students who are World Changers.

Lisa makes telephone calls to students and also sends cards to them. We’ve also been able to connect with several students who are in the local area for a coffee as we are still allowed to meet this way. So we are doing what we can to connect with our staff and students during this time.

Zoom-ing Along

River Nith Rapids

Zoom is the primary tool we use for our live Saturday instruction. There is a fair bit of work involved in keeping things running smoothly for the students in each of the three different years all at the same time. Not only do we have multiple different meetings running at the same time, but sometimes the meetings are further divided into breakout rooms for some of our more interactive instruction. Fortunately we have a strong team to keep everything Zoom-ing along.

In addition to our live Saturdays, we also have had multiple opportunities for our students to minister in Majakka Church in Finland.

Majakka Church Zoom

You may remember from past newsletters about our connections to Majakka through our own Charis classmates, Vesa and Maria Seppälä. We had to cancel our planned student mission trip to Finland last Spring due to the COVID situation. Several of our students who missed out on that trip are back with us as Third Year students.

Frosty Leaves

Vesa and Maria graciously provided a couple of opportunities for these students to minister to their church via Zoom. It was so wonderful to see these amazing teachers released into their ministry. What an honor it is to be part of their journey with the Lord. And what an honor it was to be with our brothers and sisters in Finland.

Additional Ministry

Ministers' Conference Live Broadcast

We were privileged to help out with Andrew Wommack’s U.K. Ministers’ Conference in a small way. Normally we travel down to Walsall, England to attend the conference that is held at the Charis Bible College in Walsall. But this year due to the virus restrictions the conference was live-streamed.

Crichton Church Frost

The ministry headquarters in Colorado managed the complex live stream with additional feeds from Walsall and Dumfries. Pastor John Donnelly participated as emcee for the event via our Charis Bible College facility. The college is located on the Crichton Campus in Dumfries and has some pretty speedy internet so broadcasting from the college worked best for him.

Chris and Andrew Sharp were able to help with all the audio-visual support for the three evenings of the conference. We are super grateful to all our partners as you allowed us to buy the video equipment for our ministry and the college uses it too. Thank you again for your generous support. Your seed is helping feed thousands of people the word.

Moving Forward

Nith Bridge

We are looking forward to the next months with the students and watching them develop in their revelation and relationship with the Lord. It is humbling to see how the Holy Spirit transforms lives simply through study and meditation in God’s word. It’s an exciting time for the students and the staff and we move forward. It makes all the lockdown stuff so very worth being here. Praise the Lord!

Thank You Partners!

Christmas Tree

Thank you again to all our faithful and generous partners. Lisa and I very much appreciate your support for us in prayer and your financial support. Without you we couldn’t be here in Scotland. You are part of our mission team and your seed is being sown into excellent ground.

Our vision continues to expand, and we invite you to be part of it. We know after this lockdown season comes to a close, we will be released to again go out on mission trips and travel and minister to others. We are looking to expand our capacity to create more videos. Meanwhile, we are busy putting together another book and more future teaching materials.

There are a great many people to reach and teach about the hope available in the Kingdom of God through Jesus. Our vision is growing and we are excited for what God is doing despite the challenges with COVID, etc. When you partner with NewCREEations Ministries you are part of all of it.

For unto us a Child is born,

Unto us a Son is given;

And the government will be upon His shoulder.

And His name will be called

Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,

Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
— Isaiah 9:6 (NKJV)

Blessings to you all!
