What are the LadyBugs up to?
We are recovering from an intense spring season after planting literally thousands of new baby natives across several counties! We stop planting around the Summer Solstice and wonāt plant again until the Fall Equinox.
Weāre taking a little vacation July 7-12! That might sound ānormalā to most people, but for us, itās actually a big accomplishment to let ourselves truly rest for a bit.
Weāre spending extra time in the office this summer making some big changes that weāll be excited to share later. For now, we'll just say that we're envisioning many acres of grass transforming into future pollinator havens and wildlife habitats :)
Out in the field, we're subcontracting a few hardscaping and sheet mulching projects out, to make fall plantings easier and give Kendra's body a rest after a recent knee injury.
This year, weāve been working through a business development program. We've also been learning how to bring storytelling into our work, discovering how to listen and ask better questions, and assessing our services to find an efficient focal point for this brand, to increase our impact.
If youād like to share your opinion and tell us what kind of services youāre most interested in, please participate in our 5 minute survey here!
Last, but not least, we put together a short list of Summer EarthCare Tips to offer some guidance for best practices this season. Keep reading below!
Wishing you a summer of fun, rest + time with loved ones.
