BUT it did get us thinking about something we discussed with Hannah Lowther on last week’s podcast - being kind to ourselves.
Not gonna lie - we all put on a brave face when it comes to social media. We tend to show the best bits of our lives, the stuff we want everyone else to see.
But even though we know we do this ourselves, we still suffer from comparing our own, normal lives, to the highlight reels that we see on Instagram Stories or the flat stomachs of Love Island’s latest line up.
It’s not hard to find the ideal perfect life on social media 📱 - but what we see is heavily edited and curated.
Comparison is the thief of joy and letting it happen means letting our self-worth be determined by others. Elon Musk put it like this:
