Council Operations

Dear Connecticut Rivers Council Scouting Families & Volunteers:

Council: The Connecticut Rivers Council is responding to concerns related to Coronavirus (COVID-19). We are following recommendations of both national and state Departments of Health, and local Healthcare officials, and we are doing our part in trying to limit the spread of the virus. Effective Monday, March 30h, 2020, we are postponing or cancelling all Council and District in-person activities and meetings through May. In addition, overnight camping at our Council owned properties will not be permitted. Refunds will be granted for those Council/District events and camp reservations effected.  READ MORE HERE

Campership Deadline Extended to May 15th

As always, your safety and the safety of all our members, volunteers, and employees is a high priority.  We also know that it is important to continue to Scout On!  We have created a page on our site that provides the new temporary advancement guidelines, communications options, program opportunities for all Scouts, and other leader resources.  Check it out HERE

SPECIAL EDITION JAMBOREE-ON-THE-INTERNET (JOTI)

Part of Scouting’s great success over the past 113 years has been its enduring ability to adapt and respond to the changing needs of communities at every level.

We are excited to announce a special edition of Jamboree on the Internet (JOTI), the largest digital Scout event held annually!

This special JOTI will be both educational and fun, bringing Scouting to the homes of young people around the world. It will be a space for young people and Scouts to connect, learn and build friendships during this challenging time of social distance.

As we navigate uncharted waters, together, we can turn this challenge into an opportunity to continuously showcase and share what Scouting is all about - unity, friendship, education and resourcefulness.

Join us online this 3 - 5 April 2020 and help us spread the word of this JOTI Special Edition today.
