Shin Buddhist Service
Sunday, April 17 - Service:
9:45 AM: Flower mediation. All welcome, especially children. We will decorate our little Lumbini Garden with flowers in this silent meditation. Each flower you add will be your focus for this meditation. Flowers will be supplied: Meditation Leader, Gregory Stepanic
10:30 AM: Shin Buddhist Sangha Gathering and Service: Rev. Anita Tokuzen Kazarian - Hanamatsuri (Flower Festival) – Creating the Garden of Lumbini to commemorate the birth of Shakyamuni Buddha – Come as you are. Watch for a special Buddha Post giving further details. April Memorial.
Following the Service:
After a short break, we will continue our “flower” mediation by gathering the flowers together from the Lumbini Garden we created. As all things are impermanent, we will remember, with joy, the Lumbini Garden and its relevance to our lives today. If you wish, bring a little bag to collect flowers to take home.
What does not happen at a Shin Buddhist Service?
We do not worship, we do not have petitionary prayer, nor do we have rules or regulations to judge us from one from another.
