Welcome to VISION's newest project...a monthly newsletter!
The newsletter will feature staff and board information, projects, events, partner news, and other exciting updates.
We look forward to connecting and engaging with program participants, partners, and community members.
VISION's mission is to mobilize community resources to help create a better future for Schuylkill County. Our key areas include health and wellness, arts and culture, quality of life, importance of community and economic development.
The newsletter is not VISION's only latest news! I'm excited to introduce myself as the newest Executive Director of VISION. I joined VISION in January 2019 as the Program and Development Director and look forward to using that experience and other personal and professional experience to direct VISION into the future.
A little about me and my role at VISION: I am a lifetime resident of Schuylkill County. I'm a Penn State University alumni (spending my first two years at the Schuylkill Campus!). My early professional career was focused on case management and prevention services through Schuylkill County government and providers. This experience led me to a public health focus and a Assistant Administrator position at the PA Department of Health's Division of Nutrition and Physical Activity. I'm excited to bring my experience administering programs, overseeing grants, managing funds, and collaborating with partners to VISION and the county. I also hold a 200 hour yoga teacher certification. Personally, I enjoy the outdoors, traveling, spending time with my family and volunteering time with projects across the county.
And the good news keeps coming! VISION has invested in a scavenger hunt license through GooseChase. We will be hosting fun hunts throughout 2021! Starting things off with our "Schuylkill VISION's Kick Off Hunt." To participate, download the GooseChase app on your iPhone or Android device. Search "Schuylkill VISION's Kick Off Hunt" and join the hunt! More info can be found on the Goosechase tab of our website.
Virtual Scavenger Hunt sound like something your organization would be interested in doing? Stay tuned for more information on how organizations can partner with VISION to utilize the platform!
