I wish for Peace and Happiness to all that read this. These are difficult times we are all going through right now. We here at the Carousel welcome all people who enter our doors with Love and Peace for a beautiful future for all.
Happy July!
Happy to announce the Albany Historic Carousel and Museum is open and welcoming the public back in. We opened up on June 11th. It is so wonderful to see and hear the carousel once again bringing joy to our visitors. We have adjusted our hours to 11:00-4:00 pm. This is only temporary and hope to go back to our normal 10:00-5:00 pm once more of our volunteers are ready to return. We are cleaning and sanitizing every animal between rides and are asking that all visitors wear masks to protect us, as we are wearing masks to protect the public.
NEW HAPPENINGS at the Carousel:
Last Wednesday-July 1st we started Happy Hour from 3:00-4:00 on Wednesdays. Rides and Popcorn for $1.00---Bring the kids-bring the family for some carousel fun and snacks! We are looking for sponsors for this event. See information below.
We have started First Friday’s back up. Our first one was on July 3rd. We are pleased to announce that this event was sponsored by Cedarwood Dental Associates. They asked if they could buy all 40 tickets of entry and give them back to the community. What a wonderful way to support the carousel and allow 40 people to enjoy a night out with the family. Thank you, Jim, and Mauna Delgado, and Cedarwood Dental. Thanks to everyone who came out that night for some family fun! Interested in sponsoring our First Friday events, let us know! Great way to support the carousel AND give back to the community!!
Our downstairs museum space is complete. We are offering tours daily. Stop by and see what we have created. Our upstairs museum space “Our Story” is near completion. Once done, you will be able to follow the journey of our carousel and all who helped make this dream a reality.

As we continue to look forward, we are optimistic that things will continue to improve, and our wonderful carousel will weather this COVID storm. We are thankful for the community’s financial support. This is so desperately needed during this time.
