Farewell Dru!
We are both saddened and proud to announce that our Outreach & Volunteer Coordinator, Dru Mark-Wilson, will be leaving the Washtenaw County Conservation District in early January to begin her student-teaching in a 3rd-grade classroom, the final step toward her Education degree.
Since joining us in 2021, Dru has been instrumental in enhancing our programs and events, elevating our volunteer initiatives, and fostering lasting relationships within the community. Her enthusiasm, innovative ideas, and sense of humor have significantly contributed to our mission.

Seeds to Community's big event dates are now set with Matthaei Botanical Gardens. Registration will be a little different this year, as we strive for a sustainable model of community supporting itself. If you have gained a little skill in the planting steps or species selection, we ask that you sign up as a volunteer. Volunteers help wherever their skills match the current need. We will still need some key volunteer spots filled, like greeter and seed dispersal, but the lynchpin volunteer activity is to gently work with new friends and help them learn new skills. All will register for an approximate arrival time and stay as long as they like. Sign up by clicking here!
