King Kong
King Kong is a biannual magazine from Germany, published by an architect and focused on a specific intersection between art and fashion where freedom of expression comes before everything else. Depending on your point of view, you’ll find it refreshing, bewildering or perhaps even offensive. Design considerations are pushed to the back, and it’s fair to say that KK has never heard of ‘less is more’. The magazine is not interested in trends, instead pushing an aesthetic leans toward the dark side, with a taste for the gothic but leaving it far behind. We think it’s brave, it’s admired in the industry, and A-list contributors queue for an appearance because in King Kong nobody tells you what to do. Issue 20 is out this week.

But when, one Christmas Eve, George finds himself at the end of his rope, he ends up rescuing his guardian angel, Clarence – who then shows George how his town would have looked if it hadn't been for all his good deeds over the years.

Bath College launches sports academy with Bath City FC and Bath Rugby
Bath College launched Bath College Sport Academy, a new partnership formed with Bath City FC and Bath Rugby, that will begin in the 2025/2026 academic year.
The academy will offer students aged 16-18 a clear pathway into professional and semi-professional sport while gaining a qualification. This means young athletes never have to choose between education and sporting ambitions.
Students will train in elite facilities, access professional coaching and strength and conditioning, and receive structured timetables with dedicated training sessions, helping them develop as athletes and confident, young adults.
Jane Jones, Director of Women’s Football for Bath City FC, said, “We’re thrilled Bath College will host a Women’s Academy, giving girls access to elite coaching, education, and a clear pathway into Bath City Women’s football. Since launching our women’s team four seasons ago, our goal has been to grow the game locally, and this academy builds that vision by connecting youth development to senior opportunities.”
Bath College plans to expand the academy to include netball, golf, and women’s rugby.

Stand with Julian House this Christmas
For many of us, Christmas is a season of warmth, celebration, and abundance. But for thousands of people across the South West, Christmas looks very different.
The contrast is impossible to ignore. For some, the season brings strain rather than comfort. Homes that should feel safe become places of caution and fear. For others, winter means rough sleeping, unsafe accommodation, or complete isolation at a time when togetherness is everywhere around them.
A donation to Julian House this Christmas has a direct and immediate impact.

Barbeary and Sela in the mix for trip to Toulon, 14 December
Bath Rugby continue their Investec Champions Cup campaign this weekend, taking on RC Toulon in Round 2 at the Stade Mayol.
Beno Obano and Tom Dunn are joined by Vilikesa Sela in the front row after their dominant scrum performance in Round 1. Quinn Roux remains in the tight five, seeing Ross Molony moved into the starting second row. Alfie Barbeary starts after a spell on the sidelines and is joined by Ted Hill and Sam Underhill in the back row. Tom Carr-Smith will earn his first European start in Bath colours, partnered by Finn Russell who takes the captaincy. Bath’s centre pairing of Cameron Redpath and Max Ojomoh retain their jerseys, with the back line featuring just one change from last week’s outing. Henry Arundell and Joe Cokanasiga remain on the wings and Santi Carreras comes in at full back. After bringing their impact in the second half last week, Francois van Wyk, Kepu Tuipulotu and Thomas du Toit will make up Sunday’s replacement front row. Charlie Ewels, Miles Reid and Arthur Green complete the replacement forwards, with Green set to make his European debut. Neil le Roux will also make his European debut, with Louie Hennessey taking the remaining bench position, completing a 6-2 split. The game kicks off at 1.15pm GMT at the Stade Mayol (4.15pm local time).
