Convergence between technological progress and sustainability is not that obvious

PARIS REINFORCE researchers have published an opinion article regarding the importance of mitigating risk to ensure our future prosperity.

The article "Convergence between technological progress and sustainability is not that obvious" has been published in The Parliament Magazineand examines similarities of climate change and the coronavirus pandemic. The article concludes that we should learn the best lessons from the Coronavirus response, and our previous technological missteps, in order to inform our understanding of how technology can promote sustainable behaviours, without creating new paradoxes and without creating new losers.

The 1st PARIS REINFORCE Video is now online!

The video is a live demo of the I2AM PARIS prototype which was demonstrated during the first stakeholder dialogue in November 2019.

I2AM PARIS is an open access data-exchange modelling platform envisaged to enable modellers to communicate with one another and stakeholders to interact with modelling capabilities, scenario assumptions and results in an informative way, and to understand which decarbonisation pathways are the most relevant and realistic, ultimately enhancing the legitimacy of the scientific processes in support of climate policymaking as well as improving the transparency of the employed methods, models and tools.

The video is available here, while more information on the platform can be found here.
