Boosting Sustainability and Innovation in the Packaging Sector.

Packaging Cluster celebrates its 10th anniversary with a makeover to respond to the needs of the new world: change, innovation, social responsibility, talent, technology and essential environmental awareness. With over 130 active members, the organization aims to help the competitive improvement of its member companies, promoting innovation and generating new business opportunities.
|
|
|
|
|
|
The Catalonian cluster has achieved excellence in cluster management, partnership strategies and joint activities, as well as training e-books, online hackathons and good practice sharing. They are involved in multiple European projects, such as the Smart Specialisation Platform for Food and Packaging. There are many challenges the cluster has to face in order to maintain positive growth figures. "It is very important to work together with other sectors, to learn from new methodologies and the knowledge they have, so that the ecosystem is enriched and we grow in harmony," said Monica Riera, Project Manager of Packaging cluster. EU Clusters Talks
Clusters Talks keep you up-to-date with the latest industrial policies and clusters’ involvement, provide insights into interesting projects and best practices, give you the latest ECCP news, and alert you to funding opportunities. Most importantly, they act as spaces to exchange knowledge and discuss topics significant to the EU business community.

Lund, Finland hosted the successful Cluster Collaboration Labs (C2Lab) event on 21-22 March, gathering 50 participants from several European Union countries to inspire innovation and collaboration. The event served as an exceptional platform for innovators to exchange ideas, forge new partnerships and contribute to a thriving European innovation ecosystem. Day one kicked off with a tour of Lund's science park, showcasing ground-breaking companies and providing a glimpse into the robust innovation ecosystem in Sweden.
During the second day, participants discussed their project ideas in various fields, including construction, wood, digital technology, mobility and energy. By combining their unique skills and expertise, attendees were able to form new partnerships and engage in meaningful conversations. This event highlighted the importance of connecting and finding the right match, making it a true celebration of collaboration and shared knowledge.

The ECCP's first-ever Cluster Booster Academy was designed to support cluster managers in their current work as well as in the further development of their clusters. The participants included 27 cluster managers from more than 20 European countries who joined the event in Strasbourg, France. Over four days, the cluster managers worked on specific challenges and goals to develop their strategic action plan. The Academy aims to provide a space for cluster managers to share experiences and best practices, discuss future goals and develop methodologies and tools to respond to the issues of resilience or green and digital transition .

The ECCP plans to organize a second Cluster Booster Academy soon and publish an open call for participants to apply.

In the interest of supporting Ukraine, the Czech National Cluster Association and the Ukrainian Cluster Alliance, together with their members, discussed the possibilities of starting mutual cooperation of cluster organisations in various sectors. Read the full meeting report.
