Meet the hardworking crew that works behind the scenes to keep KSQ running smoothly, a full line-up of speaker series events, an Easter egg hunt, Kennett Heritage Center re-opens, support local fundraisers, and more
Behind the scenes, under the streets, and up in utility poles, the Borough of Kennett Square’s small but mighty Department of Public Works keeps the town running 24/7, 365 days a year.
Taking nothing away from postal workers, it would be true to say that neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays the Borough of Kennett Square’s Public Works Department from the swift completion of everything from emergency repairs to keeping up with a long and ever-expanding list of maintenance tasks that keep the town looking great and running smoothly.
“It’s hard work, and it can be dangerous, but we have a great crew and we care about the residents we serve," says Director of Public Works Rob Moran.
Celebrate the transition to warmer weather, budding trees, blooming flowers, and the new crops yet to come by "springing" by the KSQ Farmers Market this Friday from 3pm to 5pm in the parking area of The Creamery at 401 Birch Street, Kennett Square.

Check back next week for more news about what's in store for the 2023 summer season!
