BYOB: Bring Your Own Book Club

Mercer County Library offers a book club with a very different style! We choose a theme for the meeting, YOU choose the book YOU want to read based on that theme.  It's a twist on the traditional book club and we invite all readers to join us!  Bring your book and be ready to tell the group what you liked or didn't like about it. January's theme is A Book You Meant to Read in 2019. Join us on Thursday, January 2nd at 7pm in the Community Room. Frozen Winter Party Kids Night!

Come join our Frozen Winter Party celebration on Friday, January 17th from 6 to 7:30 pm!  There will be crafts, snacks, and games based off of Disney's new Frozen II movie! Open to all kids grades K through 2!  Registration is required at register.mercerlibrary.org! Parents do not need to stay during the celebration.

Adult Trivia Night at Brew Nation!

Gather your friends and family and come join the fun on Trivia Night at Brew Nation. Registration begins at 6 pm with the quizzing beginning promptly at 7 pm on Tuesday, January 28th. Prizes are awarded to the top three teams! 

Amazing Africa Presentation!

Curious about travel to Africa? Peggy Green will be presenting photos and information about her amazing trip to Africa!  This will be held at the Celina branch on Tuesday, January 14th at 6:30 pm. Preview her exciting trip photographs at magreenphotography.com.

HOLIDAY CLOSINGS: All branches of the library will be closed on January 1st for the holidays.  Also, library hours will be adjusted to 9am to 12pm on December 31st. Happy New Year!!

Marion (Chickasaw) Branch Events

Diabetes Self-Management Program (DSMP)

Diabetes Self-Management Program (DSMP) to be held on Tuesdays January 21st through February 25th from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm.  DSMP is a diabetes self-management program that has been shown to be successful in helping participants take control of their disease and reduce the risk of complications.  This will be presented by the Area Agency on Aging and pre-registration is required.  Register at www.aa3.org/trainingsor call 567-204-2900.

Lego Night!

January's Lego Night will be held on Thursday, January 21st from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Parent supervision is advised. No pre-registration is required!

Donuts With Dads Is Back!

On Saturday, January 11th stop in at 9:30 am and enjoy a donut with your Dad (or Mom), make a craft, check out some books, and socialize.  No pre-registration required!

Keto and Essential Oils!

Keto? Bullet Proof Coffee? Can these help you meet your New Year's health goals? On Thursday, January 23rd at 6:30 pm come learn why Keto is more than just weight loss and sample Keto foods enhanced with essential oils.  Presented by Nancy Kremer.

Blind Date with a Book will start February 1st!  Adults, during the month of February check out one of our wrapped mystery date books.  Fill out the "Rate Your Date" slip and return it to be entered for a prize.

Story Hour is held every Thursday morning at 10:30 am.

Lego Nights are held on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 6:30 pm. No registration is required. Parent supervision is advised.

Senior Citizens play cards every Thursday at 1:30 pm. Everyone is welcome!
