LivLyme Foundation hosts an annual event in Colorado where the world’s leading tick-borne disease experts gather to share the latest on diagnosis, treatments, and emerging research. This year the talks are available online, free to all.
A major theme of this year’s event was the overlap in symptoms and treatments for COVID-19 and chronic Lyme. This topic was covered by two of the country’s most experienced tick-borne disease clinicians (Drs. Horowitz and Phillips), an expert in pharmacology from Stanford University (Dr. Rajadas), and a leading Lyme researcher from Johns Hopkins University (Dr. Aucott).
Other topics included:
• Novel Lyme diagnostics and treatments
• Lyme carditis
• Treatments for complex Lyme patients
• Potential links between Borrelia and breast cancer
• New tick species and tick-borne diseases
• CDC tick-borne disease updates
• Alpha Gal red meat allergy and the immune system
LivLyme’s founder, Olivia Goodreau, also serves as Invisible International’s Youth Advocacy advisor.
