Celebrations
The students celebrated Republic Day and National Youth Day in January. The events involved poster making, recitation of songs and slogan writing activities. Enterprising young Rahul, from our Education Cart at the Prem Nagar Police Station, wrote a play on Ambedkar and enacted it and sent us a video.
In February Basant Panchami was celebrated at schools which saw children putting up cultural performances; our talented youngsters participated at Basant Mahotsav at Raj Bhawan and won many prizes.
Holi is a perfect time to bond and give wings to a child's imaginations through crafts and activities like painting, and colourful games. The children celebrated a wonderful Holi at the centres following all COVID precautions.
April 12th is observed as International Day for Street Children across the globe by organisations working with street children. The aim is to raise awareness about the problems faced by them and to give the children a voice. This year too, our children voiced their aspirations and celebrated the day with aplomb – singing, dancing, poster making and staging street plays.
