Dividing the world into regions is no simple task. No two people will ever share the same vision of how the world should be divided. In many ways, this process must be approached both scientifically and artistically, given the complexity, diversity, and scale of our planet.

It has taken a great deal of planning, time, and effort to develop this roadmap, and we sincerely thank all of you who have contributed by sharing opinions, sending emails, and engaging in discussions with us.

We hereby present our roadmap, structured in two ways:

  1. A list of countries where regions are due to be added or corrected
  2. A batch-based release plan to help you follow what comes next

Learn about and follow the entire Roadmap here.

Batch 1 – Countries Based on Poll Votes

We are officially beginning the implementation of regional changes across selected countries. This post presents the first batch of countries where changes were approved through community voting.

The countries included in this phase are: Albania, Dominican Republic, Guyana, Suriname, Nepal, Azerbaijan, Libya and Syria.

Here we explain how each country is affected, the reasoning behind the changes, and how community feedback shaped the final decisions.

As always, we welcome your suggestions — please share them in the comments in this article.

[TOUR] Nigeria Complete Expedition

29 AUG – 13 SEP 2026 (Two Modules)

Nigeria is a country of strong contrasts: a dense coastal megacity, historic Yoruba and Igbo heartlands, rainforest and highland landscapes in the south, then a long transition north into Sahel-edge trading cities with a very different pace, architecture, and social life.

This program is built to explain Nigeria as it changes from region to region, not just to “collect stops”.

The trip is modular! Module 1 (South) moves through Lagos + the southwest, southeast, and south-south. Module 2 (North) begins in/around Abuja and continues through the middle belt and the northern states, finishing with a practical plan to tick the final northeast region without relying on uncertain domestic flights.

During this tour we will visit all 10 NomadMania regions in Nigeria and this will not be an easy itinerary. Expect early starts, long drives on some days, and “real-world” conditions outside major tourist corridors.
