Tell us something fun about yourself.
For my next adventure, Iโm moving to Berlin in February. My nickname is โQueen of parallel parkingโ because I can parallel park into just about any tight spot. When I was a barista, I served coffee to Samual L. Jackson.
If you could go back in time, what would you tell yourself as a new CSM?
Donโt be afraid, just dive in! Take the chance and learn something new, there is a whole support system out there and oodles of resources to help you along the way.
What book, podcast, or influencer do you recommend checking out?
I have learned so much from Carly Agarโs LinkedIn posts and classes. She is, without a doubt, great to follow particularly if you are transitioning into CS. She gives it to you straight and keeps it real when it comes to interviewing, translating your resume into CS, networking, and much more.
Currently, Iโm reading Atomic Habits by James Clear. I didnโt really think this book was for me until I realized how he breaks down how to add new habits to your life. This is not only useful on a personal level but for your career as well. Itโs amazing how adding 1 positive habit to your daily routine can make a difference.
What is the one tech tool you can't live without?
Right now, Iโm digging three tools. Loom, Google Meet, and Calendly. These arenโt sexy but they are essential. They have made my coffee chats super easy to connect with others and manage. :)
