It's hard to believe that another year has almost passed. November seems to be a time of reflection, and we ask ourselves, spouses, family members, and friends what they are thankful for this past year. 

We want to join in the conversation this year with you. Is there a specific book that you are grateful for? How does your library matter to you? Do you have a library staff member that means a lot to you?

We are looking to hire a full-time maintenance person to take care of our six (6) branches. Duties would include changing lightbulbs, filters for the heating/cooling system, occasional plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work, maintaining the outside and public areas of our buildings and sidewalks, and other duties as assigned.

If you are new to 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten, this is a program for parents and children who aren't in Kindergarten to participate in and help develop a lifelong love of reading. Not only that, but it gives your child a boost when they do start Kindergarten.

She thought being stranded was the worst thing that could happen. She was wrong.

Mira needs to get home for the holidays. Badly. But when an incoming blizzard results in a canceled connecting flight, it looks like she might get stuck at the airport indefinitely.

And then Harper, Mira's glamorous seatmate from her initial flight offers her a ride. Harper and her three friends can drop Mira off on their way home. But as they set off, Mira realizes the fellow travelers are all total strangers. And every one of them is hiding something.

Soon, roads go from slipper to terrifying. People's belongings are mysteriously disappearing. Someone in the car is clearly lying, and might even be sabotaging the trip--but why? And can Mira make it home alive, or will this nightmare drive turn fatal?
