What's up my friends, Legacy Makers?
Look, this week, it seems we are supposed to think about deeper things in our emails. Truth is, and you know this, we've been thinking about that for some time.
No doubt, it is hard to think about business during the time in which one country is invading another country.
It's sad. It's frustrating and it can make you feel as if nothing you do matters.
But it does.
It matters to your family. It matters to your friends. It matters to your customers.
It matters to those in your community.
What you do matters and it is easy to forget that when violence is on the TV.
So, I'm not going to pretend that you are shutting out the distractions, we are all distracted.
Distractions, or what I call landmines, will always happen, and we will always have a job to do.
But let me tell you, I have had some landmines, and I have sat there wondering "why?" and "how come?" So the song above, by The Fray, resonates with me.
I have asked those questions.
It helps me get out the grief, even though it never answers the questions.
Even in the pain of our life, we have a story. That story might be the very story you need to tell. It may not need to be told on your website or on your About page, but it does need to be told.
Perhaps it needs to be told to your friends or your family. Perhaps you need to tell it to others in a group setting.
I have seen entrepreneurs weather incredible bravery to tell stories of weakness and grief to their audiences. It may not make them millionaires but helps them be seen, be heard, and maybe, just maybe, leave an impact on others.
So, maybe telling that story will help you make an impact. Believe me, I know. I have written about some of my stories such as my struggle with severe urinary strictures.
The other part of that story, that maybe I don't talk about as much, is the deep, dark depression I experienced. That's for another time.
Maybe, the song above by The Fray tells your story.
But don't despair, my friend. The sun will come up tomorrow, there will be a better day, and I will be standing there beside you to cheer you on!
