We are excited to announce our latest major website update! Since the map is central to our travel philosophy we decided to put it on the home page.

Now, your travel map will be the first thing you'll see on NomadMania.com, therefore encouraging you to explore and to plan future trips every time you visit our website. By the way, the same logic applies in our new app

You can toggle your map between Countries, NomadMania Regions and DARE places. Remember to be logged in to see it coloured respectively.

We also slightly changed the navigation bar to simplify and make it easier for you to maximize all the functions that NomadMania has to offer:

  • GUIDE: We are developing an easy step-by-step guide to help new Nomads get started on their NomadMania journey. *** In progress;
  • TRAVEL: This is just simplified from the "My Travels" tab;
  • NOMADS: Former "Travellers" are "Nomads" now.

Visit NomadMania.com and enjoy this new usability :-)

5th NomadMania Conference: Save the Date!

NomadMania is proud to soon announce its fifth conference!

This conference is held every other year:

  • in 2017 fourteen travellers met in Layang Layang in the Spratly islands;
  • in 2019, eighteen travellers gathered in Faial, Azores, Portugal.
  • Despite the difficulties of the pandemic, we succeeded in holding our meeting on the island of Principe in 2021.
  • And the last 'unrepresented' continent was the Americas, where twenty-nine of us gathered in Bocas del Toro, Panama, in March 2023.

The next conference will be held from May 25 - May 29, 2025 (until June 1 with an extra program). Stay tuned for the location revealed next week.

Reignite your Sustainable Travel Story

In July 2023, our focus at NomadMania was Sustainable Travel Month, an initiative aimed at encouraging responsible and sustainable travel practices among our members.

As part of this focus, we conducted the Sustainable Travel Survey. We are now pleased to share the insights gleaned from the responses of the 289 participants.

The results, which we’ve categorised into Key Strengths and Areas of Opportunities, reveal fascinating trends in attitudes and behaviours towards sustainable travel.

Read more about trends among Nomads in our Sustainable Travel Survey Results and how the survey aligns with the Travel Care Code and Center for Responsible Travel (CREST) in our other article.
