The countdown to Fringe 2023 is officially on, so it’s time to put your show or venue in the spotlight and to shout your story from the rooftops.
It’s time to market your event and to hook the press in - but how?! Let’s start with crafting your press release.
1. Map out your release
Start with your who, what, when, where and why?
Sell your show with some key insights from behind the scenes and leverage any profile from participating talent.
2. Hook ‘em
With over 1000+ events coming to Fringe next year, it's important to know what makes yours special. Reel them in with an engaging story and a headline that POPS.
3. Key details Don’t forget to include your best contact for media inquiries and a section with ‘notes to editors’ about who is available from your show for interviews and media opportunities. Prepare and include an easy to access file that includes images for editorial use.
4. Proof, edit, repeat
Errors can kill your credibility. Just when you think you’re done proofreading… proof again!
A press release is just one feature in your Marketing toolbox. Check out the second issue of our Artist Mag here for more, and join us on Thursday 24 November for a special Professional Development Opportunity session dedicated to marketing tips.
