NAM Healthy Longevity Catalyst Award Competition

The application period for the National Academy of Medicine’s (NAM’s) Healthy Longevity Catalyst Awards is scheduled for January 13 to February 24, 2020. During this period, the NAM will accept 2-page applications from researchers, innovators, and entrepreneurs from all backgrounds with ideas for extending the human health span and improving healthy longevity. Essentials of Research Administration (ERA) Hot Topics

Essentials of Research Administration provided a training on December 10th, 2019 for research administrators and other support staff who have responsibilities for research proposals, grants, contracts, pre- and post-award administration and related activity at Michigan State University. Does NSF limit the number of people on a proposal?

NSF does limit the number of Co-PIs to 4; OSP is unaware of any limit on non-Co-PI Senior Personnel listed in an application. Keep in mind though; the proposal will still be subject to the 15 page Project Description limitation. Click here to learn more.

Research Expenditures Finalized

The faculty research expenditures for July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019, have been finalized and reported to ASEE. Information will be loaded into FAIS in January. If you have any questions or would like you to see your data before it is loaded into FAIS, please contact Kelli Martin.

DER Student Assistant Max Gates

Applications for S3 (Science and Society @ State) Interdisciplinary Seed Grant

The S3 Interdisciplinary Seed Grant supports new or emerging interdisciplinary collaborations between MSU's science studies scholars (Sociologist/ historians/anthropologists/artist/ STS scholars etc. who study science and technology) and STEM/ health scholars.

In this breathtaking talk she describes some of the extraordinary projects -- a robotic hummingbird, a prosthetic arm controlled by thought, and, well, the internet -- that her agency has created by not worrying that they might fail.

This database allows researchers to search for foundation and private funding not found on Grants.gov. This is a great seminar to expand your funding search knowledge.
