In a recently received incident report, it has been observed that during the evening hours of February 7th, a group of eight individuals illicitly boarded a commercial vessel anchored near Lagos Port and made off with paint. The crew members and the ship itself reportedly remain unharmed following the incident.
This is the third reported incident occurring in this location within 24 hours, and the third incident reported within Nigerian waters this year. It is notable that the modus operandi (MO) remains consistent in all three cases, involving up to ten intruders accessing the ship's stores and absconding with boxes of paint. This repetition in tactics suggests a deliberate and organized effort, possibly indicating a coordinated group or a recurring security vulnerability that requires focused attention and mitigation measures.
