There is a reason âGiving Tuesdayâ follows Thanksgiving. In 2012 Giving Tuesday, a nonprofit organization of the same name designated the Tuesday after Thanksgiving with the intent of encouraging others to spread kindness. Giving Tuesday has reached its 10th year as a global holiday that is observed every year by 85 countries. One can only think of being inundated with the warmth of empathy, generosity, and energy that is unleashed on that day.
We at the Juanita C. Grant Foundation are grateful to all our supporters who come in many forms. We thank our:
- Volunteers for being an integral part of our community trainings
- Instructors who provide engaging and motivating trainings at our 50+ Refresh Bootcamp sessions
- Village Connector Experience Ambassadors for facilitating older adults reconnecting with their family and friends
- Federal, state, and local law enforcement partners who bring their expertise to our Elder Abuse and Fraud Prevention Training Series.
But most of all, I give thanks to our loyal donors. Without your support, our programs to improve the lives of older adults through solution-based programs and services would not be possible. Your donations matter. Your donations will impact others by creating job-ready candidates for hire that have lost confidence in their abilities to succeed. Your donation will help prevent the victimization of a loved one from being scammed out of their life savings. Your donation will re-enforce that each of us should be valued and acknowledged by simple human interaction.
Please give generously. Help us make your impact come to life.
