Permanent Diaconate candidates installed as Acolytes

On Sunday, Sep 7, Bishop William T. McGrattan installed seven permanent diaconate candidates as acolytes during Sunday Mass at St. Mary’s Cathedral.
Surrounded by family, friends, and parishioners, these men took another important step in their journey toward ordination and a life of service in the Diocese of Calgary.

Seminarians start new school year
|

The St. Joseph Seminary year began with the opening retreat, led by Fr. Stefano Penna from the Diocese of Saskatoon.
This year, St. Joseph's welcomes 41 seminarians, representing nine dioceses, including the Diocese of Calgary and others from across Western Canada. Please keep our seminarians, their formators, and St. Joseph's Seminary community in your prayers.
