Dear Members,
CUPE 4600 Unit 2 and Carleton management have reached a tentative collective agreement at the bargaining table.
Your
Bargaining Team will prepare a copy of the settlement for
distribution to all union members. In the coming days, you will receive a
complete copy of all articles that have been agreed to, as well as a
summary of proposed changes.
Your
Bargaining Team will also hold an online meeting to present the
tentative settlement and answer any questions CIs might have. Details on
this meeting will be distributed shortly.
You and your colleagues should be proud of yourselves for fighting for what you deserve!
What Happens Now?
Unit 2 Members will come off the picket lines Wednesday, April 5th, and return to work on April 6th.
While
a tentative settlement has been reached, it is not binding on the
either the Employer or the Union until it is ratified by both parties.
All
CUPE 4600 Unit 2 members will have the chance to discuss and examine
the tentative settlement before voting to ratify or reject it. Your
Bargaining Team will be recommending that CIs vote to ratify the
settlement, but the final say rests with the membership of Unit 2.
The Union will organize an online ratification vote, to be held
within the next few weeks. We will provide details as soon as they are
available.
If you have any questions or require further information, please contact us at info@cupe4600.ca.
